After a final sunrise breakfast overlooking the northern plains, you will head out at 07:00 AM for a farewell exploration of the North. Your guide will focus on the Lamai Wedge or the Mara River loops one last time, seeking out any final crossing action or hidden predators in the kopjes. The morning light is ideal for photography as you bid goodbye to the "mega-herds" and begin your slow, game-filled drive toward the Seronera Valley in the Central Serengeti.
Afternoon
As you head south, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot in the mid-Serengeti. The landscape begins to open up, and you’ll notice an increase in resident wildlife, including the Serengeti's famous large lion prides and the elusive leopards often found draped over sausage tree branches. By mid-afternoon, you will arrive in the Central Serengeti, where the "Seronera" river provides a permanent water source that attracts a dense concentration of animals year-round. You will enjoy a game drive en route to your new camp, arriving in time to settle in.
Evening
Your evening concludes at your Central Serengeti lodge or camp, where the atmosphere shifts to the classic "Out of Africa" experience. You’ll enjoy sundowners as the sun dips behind the vast horizon, followed by a delicious dinner under the stars. Surrounded by the sounds of the African night—the distant roar of a lion or the whoop of a hyena—you will relax by the campfire, reflecting on the incredible journey from the riverbanks to the heart of the plains.
